Jerry Craven, writer, editor, and educator, has published 20 books, including fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, books for children, and ESL textbooks. His poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, and essays have appeared in dozens of magazines and journals.

I. For University Professors: (1) writing across the curriculum, (2) using the world-wide web as an aid to teaching, (3) teaching composition.

II. For Public School Teachers: (1) using writing as a tool for teaching in the disciplines, (2) methods for teaching writing, (3) challenging the gifted and talented student.

He has served as Director/Editor for a series of The Texas A&M University Press and has worked as editor for several literary journals. Currently he is editor-in-chief of Amarillo Bay. Also he has served as director of a university creative writing program and as a director of freshman English.

His career as a teacher includes full-time appointments for five universities in three countries.
